I entered and was immediately shouted at by a lady with a short hair cut to “Go outside.” I politely responded, “ I ordered online, I’m just here to pick up.” Remember this was my first time visiting so I don’t know their protocol. The location is quaint, everyone was waiting outside because you order, pay and pick up from the exterior of the restaurant. The last two times I’ve walked in with no reservation and sat at the bar.Įveryone says, “Try Busy Bee while in Atlanta” so I did. If you can’t get a reservation, just call in and ask if there’s bar seating available. I will be coming back here for the foreseeable future, and recommend it to anyone in Atlanta looking for a fantastic dining experience with friends or for a nice date. I always ask for recommendations and have never been disappointed. The staff are always kind, welcoming, and want you to have a great meal. Some reviews say that the service isn’t great, but I’ve never experienced that. Alternatively, speak to the wine guy and he’ll hook you up with a bottle your table will love- and the prices aren’t exorbitant. If you’re drinking, I recommend doing the wine pairings as they go very well with the food. Lastly, the desserts are always a decadent finish. The cheeses are exquisite and all very different from one another, i highly recommend the Pierre Robert. The meats for the main course are always cooked to perfection, my favorites are the duck, lamb loin, and strip steak. The crab fritter is a staple appetizer you can’t go wrong with. Here, the main is second so you know you’ll enjoy the whole thing.

At other tasting/prix-fixe menus, you’re often full by the main courses. One thing I love is the order of the courses.

The menu changes every few days, so you’ll never have the exact same experience twice. Next, you pick one option for each of the four courses: appetizer, main, cheese, and dessert. It’s consistently one of the best meals in Atlanta, from start to finish.īefore the first course, you can start with supplements like caviar, oysters, and other chilled seafood. I’ve been here about half a dozen times, and I’ve never been disappointed. This place has been around for over two decades, for good reason. Many of the chefs in and around town who have opened their own restaurants have worked at Bachhanalia as part of their training. Kimberly's expert tip: There's never a cover.Bacchanalia is The Godfather of Atlanta’s fine dining scene. Recommended for Gay Clubs because: Kockout is the newest bar to open up on the strip, and therefore is the new hot place to hangout. In the evening, they open up the Backroom Bar, where the real fun is said to be had. When you get nibbley, you can nosh on a yummy snack from their full kitchen or opt for a handmade pizza from Pup's Pizza, which is located right inside Knockout. Knockout invites guests to come in, enjoy the music, drink the cocktails and get great service from some of San Antonio's best bartenders. They have brand new pool tables, dart boards and even a punching bag, for working out that post-work aggression.

it may be the first official gay sports bar in San Antonio, where you can watch games on one of their big screens or over 15 flat screen TVs. One of the newest additions to the LGBT nightlife is Knockout, located along the San Antonio strip, also known as Main Avenue.
